The words you spoke were true? You made me believe in you,
Thinking about this made me sick, I know how much I've become dependent on you.
Why, why did it turn out this way, where all of your promises were lies,
Are you just going to leave me here and watch me as my hope dies?
How, how and why did you become so cold,
When you just told me that you'd never leave me until we're old.
I remember, I remember the day you told me that you love me,
I was so shocked at that time, I even thought you were playing, you see.
But your face turned red, as tears rolled down from your cheeks,
I said yes, and you hugged and kissed me on my cheeks.
Everything seemed perfect, and every day felt so delighted,
Until one day, you became distant, leaving me feeling slighted.
I asked if you were fine, but you didn't say a word,
You just left me alone, my pleas unheard.
All the promises you made, they have all disappeared,
Like the morning sunshine fading, as night draws near.
